The Seychelles comprises of 115 islands lying in the Indian Ocean, northwest of Madagascar; these paradise islands offer its visitors glorious white sandy beaches, rocky mountains, luxuriant forests or plain deserts and blissful tranquillity.

The tropical marine climate is cooler from June to November. The temperature varies from 26-29 degree centigrade all year around.

Most service providers already include a service charge of 5% - 10%. Tipping is not obligatory in the Seychelles, however, any extra change is always appreciated.
VISA AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You do not require a visa to enter Seychelles, however, a visitor must be in possession of a passport valid for more than 6 months from the date of arrival and a return or onward ticket. You must also have proof of accommodation in Seychelles and sufficient funds for the duration of your stay.
SAFETY
Seychelles has a low level of crime, however, it is advisable to take routine precautions. Do not carry large amounts of money or valuables on your person. Swimming alone on isolated beaches is not advisable.
COMMUNICATION - TRANSPORT
14 small airports, the most important being Point Larue, 10 kms from Victoria, on Mahe island. Roads are surfaced in Mahe, plus a small section on Praslin.
The main port is in Victoria.
Mahe offers regular bus service , whereas Praslin has a limited service.
Taxis are to be found on both islands, rates are fixed by the government (about 135 taxis).
Inter-island ferries are regular between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.
Air Seychelles operates daily flights between the main islands.

Bicycles can be hired in Praslin and La Digue.
